Welcome to Eventide, a small town surrounded by forest and fog. It doesn’t get many outside visitors, and is more along the lines of a town you’d only ever pass by on a road trip.Inside Eventide is a secret: the truth that vampires and werewolves are no myth. They’re real, and thanks to a peace treaty both sides recently signed after over a century of feuds and bloodshed, they must live in peace with each other. As long as no human is harmed within the bounds of the town, they may remain in Eventide and try to live a somewhat normal life. Now, the humans living in Eventide must try to coexist with both vampires and werewolves.The school year is starting. Hopefully, with the doors being open to everyone, it can be a chance to diminish the tension within the younger generations, allowing them all to get along and realize there was really no need for all that fighting! Or maybe everything will just go terribly wrong.Let’s find out.⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾ ⋆⁺₊⋆While there is an academy, you don't have to be a student. Staff and townsfolk options are present, and there will be characters everywhere :-)(CW: There will be blood. Please do not join if this makes you uncomfortable.)
rules
- You must be 17+ to join.- Please be polite and respectful of other people.- Racism, homophobia, transphobia, and other bigotry will result in you being kicked.- Do not post any nsfw or get explicit outside of the designated nsfw channel (which will not be open to minors).- It's best to ask before joining a scene between people, just in case they have something planned for their characters. For shipping, make sure the other person is okay with it before throwing your character at them.- Don't be weird... and if someone is uncomfortable with something, don't push it.- Censor and put trigger warnings if necessary. There will be a channel to put triggers so we know what needs to be censored or avoided.- Try your best to match the response effort someone else put in.
character guidelines
- You can have up to three characters in the server.- If you don't want to play a student in the academy, you can also play as a teacher or just townsfolk! It's up to you, and there will be characters everywhere.- Height limit is 6'5.- Student age range is 14-19. Even vampire students must be actual teenagers if you want them to romance minor characters.- Skin colors must be human. There is no school uniform to follow.- To make things a little more fun, there will be character stats and rolling, like in d&d. There is strength, charm, intelligence, awareness (insight and charisma), and stealth. You have 15 points to divide and put into the stats.- Your characters can be either human, vampire, or werewolves. Please follow the lore stated below, and don't deviate.
The beloved Bella Swans of the server.- The town and academy are mostly made up of humans. They are still very tense and some are a bit terrified of the vampires and werewolves, especially since only a couple months ago humans were still going missing or being attacked.- If bitten, humans can be turned into vampires.- Humans get a +1 on all stats.
The sexy bloodsuckers.- Vampires can be turned or born. Once those born reach adulthood, they will age very slowly. Because of how long vampires can live for, the age cap for them is 200. Student vampires must be 14 - 19 years.- Vampires usually have normal eye colors, but red is an option.- They can go out in the sun, but their skin is more sensitive to it. They are hurt by silver. Many of those born vampires for some reason are allergic to garlic...- Because of the agreement, vampires must drink animal blood instead of human blood to survive.- They are faster and stronger than normal humans. Their skin typically is pretty cold.- They get a +2 on strength and charm.
The lovable fleabags.- They have a human form and a wolf form, but they can also partially shift, giving them just the claws or ears or tail. They're a little warmer than humans are.- Their hair color is the same color fur they have as a wolf.- On the full moon, they lose control and have an animalistic urge to destroy everything in sight. They tend to stay home these days, chained for their own safety.- They are hurt by silver and wolfsbane.- Werewolves get a +2 on strength and awareness.
lore & setting
Eventide, for centuries, has been at odds with the vampires and werewolves. While they fought amongst each other right outside of town or hiding within it, they also harmed the humans living there. Vampires fed on the blood of humans in the night, and werewolves mauled anyone near during the full moon.Generations later, the feud and living in constant fear is getting tiring. Vampires and werewolves have agreed to leave the bloodshed and disputes behind, and the younger ones want nothing more than to live normal lives.A couple months ago, Eventide opened up to them with welcome arms as long as no human within town gets hurt and they leave their fighting in the past. Because of how recent it was, the tension is still high... but they're trying their best to adapt.Here is a very general map to help visualize the layout of the town. more locations and channels will open up in the server as needed.
